It is a fact that 68% of all communication is based on visuals, meaning that whatever we see, we believe and then act accordingly; for example a thirsty man upon seeing an oasis starts moving towards it, thinking of it to be a pool of water. The news media of today tends to exaggerate whatever slice of news is available to them just to increase their rankings. We in the U.S., rely on the news media too much, we believe in it to the extent that we let it shape our lives. It's getting really hard for the masses to choose a country for their vacations. Its either the drug cartels, Al Qaida, a disease outbreak or natural disasters that ruin a perfectly planned vacation. The point is that the average U.S citizen doesn't conduct enough research on his/ her part to choose a country for vacations and ends up skipping a fascinating country that has been defamed without presenting the true picture.
One such example would be of Mexico; our neighbor. Although the stories about skirmishes between drug traffickers and Mexican authorities are somewhat true but still the major portion of the country is quite safe; safer than most parts of the U.S. Mexico has been a tourist point for people all over the world (including a majority of U.S citizens). It has all the necessary locations and sites that a tourist would crave for. You certainly won't get into trouble if you follow a particular set of guidelines while in Mexico:
Nedra is a Mexican the is worried about image of how safe Mexico is. Study Spanish in Mexico.
